According to a report from MARCA, Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao could return in time for the Club World Cup in June.
It says that although Militao has not set a time limit to return for the inaugural tournament, he could get fit in time.
Even after the injury, Real Madrid have full faith in Militao and will count on him to be a part of the backline next season.
Militao was seriously injured in Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Osasuna. The club announced that he had torn his ACL once again, this time in the other knee, and was expected to get surgery and miss the remainder of the season.
This was Real Madrid’s second ACL injury of the men’s first team after Carvajal got injured a few weeks before Militao.
Both of them now hope that they can return in time for the Club World Cup, but it is obvious that the players will not be rushed back either way.
